    The Corporation was established on 13.3.1974 vide Government Resolution, Home Department No. CRP 0174/XV dt. 14.2.1974. It is registered under the Companies Act 1956 vide Registration No. 17281/1973-74.

    The authorized share capital is Rs. 10.00 crores and paid up capital of 7.96 crores.

    The Main objective of the Corporation is to construct houses & administrative buildings and to formulate & execute welfare schemes for constituent and affiliated offices of Home Department, Government of Maharashtra including, but not limited to Police and Prison Departments. Since the establishment of the Corporation, in 1974, 38,179 residential quarters have been handed over to police department.

    Mission :

    • To design and construct state of the art buildings and campuses with required amenities according to specifications and provide adequate infrastructural services, to fulfil the requirement(s) of user department(s) Police, Home Guards, Civil Defence and prisons in Maharashtra.

    • To ensure quality, workmanship and timely completion of projects by introducing innovative ideas, latest techniques and technologies in design and construction, to the optimal satisfaction of the user department.

    • Improving in house competence and skill to meet the changing needs of construction industry/activity, by ensuring complete transparency.

    Vision :

    • To strive to provide state of the art, cost effective, low maintenance, aesthetically soothing user and eco-friendly campus buildings/accommodation to the guardians of law and protectors of society, the police personnel and to comfort them and cause the betterment in their personal and public life, to discharge their duties and responsibilities effectively and efficiently, without stress and strain.

    • Brief Information about the Corporation’s Projects (From April 1, 2017 to Present)

    • The Maharashtra State Police Housing and Welfare Corporation has undertaken several Residential and Admin projects across the Maharashtra state. These projects are at various stages – some have been handed over, some are under progress, and others are at the tendering stage. Detailed information is provided below:

      1. Completed Projects (Handed Over):The Corporation has successfully handed over a total of 122 projects, which include 63 residential and 149 Administrative buildings projects. These projects comprise a total of 7,789 Residential Quarters. These projects have been handed over to the respective user departments. This reflects the Corporation’s efficiency and effective planning.
      2. Ongoing Projects: Currently, a total of 101 projects are under progress through the Corporation, comprising of 59 residential and 132 Administrative buildings projects at various stages of execution. These projects include a total of 10,385 Residential Quarters, for which administrative approval of ₹7,699.85 crore has been received. These projects are expected to be completed soon and will be handed over to the respective user departments.
      3. Tender Published Projects:The Corporation has published tenders for a total of 10 projects, which include 4 residential and 11 Administrative buildings projects. A total of 183 Residential Quarters have been proposed under these projects, with administrative approval of ₹248.67 crore received. These projects will soon enter the implementation stage, and construction work will commence following the tendering process.
